What is the Full Form of TDR?

TDR Full Form is Ticket Deposit Receipt.   It is usually filed or submitted to claim the refund of fare in case you are not able to perform the journey. There should be a valid reason to file a TDR.  It is mostly implemented on reserved ticket. If the passenger dose not travel for any personal cause, he can file TDR after the cancellation of the journey.
TDR can be filled within 3 hours of the scheduled departure and it may take up 90 days for the refund. 

A TDR could be filled for the following reasons:-
  •  Passenger not traveled
  • Connecting train got late
  • Wrongly charged by TTE
  • An e-ticket needed to be canceled after chart preparation
  • The train is running late by more than three hours
  • AC failure in the train
  • Train Cancelled By Railways
  • Traveling without ID
