FTSE Full Form is Financial Times Stock Exchange. The FTSE 100 Index, also called FTSE 100, FTSE, or, informally, the ‘footsie’ , is a share index of the 100 most highly capitalised UK companies listed on the London Stock Exchange.  It is  a between two groups of UK: the Financial Times and the London Stock Exchange.  FTSE Group is headquartered in London, England. It was founded in 1984 to prepare share index for listed business organizations on the basis of the measurement of thier market capitalization and some other specified rules and regulations like inclusion in the LSE list, liquidity, and float factor.

Its name derives from the acronym of its two parent companies, but has since been registered as a limited company in its own right.
