POP Full Form is Post Office Protocol. Post Office Protocol (POP) is a type of computer networking and Internet standard protocol that extracts and retrieves email from a remote mail server for access by the host machine. The POP server might be a computer with a permanent Internet connection whereas its clients might only connect to it occasionally, e.g. by modem.
It basically helps and allows the e-mail clients used by the users to retrieve e-mail messages from a remote mail server over the network that uses TCP/IP connection. It is simply a store and forward service and because of such limitations, users can not read or gain access to their e- mail from various different devices.
