What is the Full Form of OMR?

OMR Full Form is Optical Mark Recognition. It is method used to the process of identifying and recording data from a document or specially printed paper forms used in tests, surveys, feedback etc. It is also called as Optical Mark respect.  OMR is normally used to collect huge data sources at the same  time. This technology is useful for applications of reading pen or pencil marks present in pre- defined places on a documents or papers. Usually, which large reads numbers  resence to questions on papers of hand-filled forms  quickly and with great accuracy. It is the scanning of paper to detect the presence or absence of a mark in a predetermined position has evolved in several other technologies. It is now used as an input device for data entry.

OMR software is a computer software application. OMR makes possible on a desktop computer with the help of an Image scanner by using an Image scanner to process surveys, tests, attendance sheets, checklists, and other plain-paper forms printed on a laser printer. It is used to capture data from OMR sheets and while data capturing scanning devices focus on many factors like thickness of paper dimensions of OMR sheet and designing pattern.

 OMR Sheet used in examinations, (such as PMT, IIT-JEE, GATE, ITI etc), has the complete data of candidate including, and has been incorporated by several health care agencies and enterprises. It has been use with the objective of simplifying the data input processes as well as reducing errors, and his name, Fathers name, Date of birth, Roll number etc.
