VLC Meadia Player Full Form is VideoLAN Client. VLC media player is an open source cross-platform know as media player. It is widely used in open source media player, and published in 2001 by the VideoLAN project. It supports wide variety of operating systems. VLC is available for mobile platforms, such as Windows 10 Mobile, Windows Phone, Android, iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch and  is also usefull on App stores such as Apple's App Store and Microsoft Windows Windows Store. It is used many audio and video pressure methods and file formats including DVD-Video, video CD and streaming protocols.

It is libavcodec library, from the FFmpeg project provides of VLC's codecs. It has done own protocol implements. VLC are based on packet system. It is available in any 50 different languages. It is supports any plays almost all formats of video and audio. It is an extremely useful efficient media player and is growing in use and popularity continuously.This software came as an academic project in 1996. VLC used to work for a customer of the VideoLAN project.
